09 Oct 2008 Air France fares advertised in Canada will now include all taxes and the fuel surcharge. The airline will also continue to maintain its policy of not advertising any one-way fares out of Canada. Although airlines are not required to advertise the cost of flight tickets including taxes, Air France has adopted this measure to communicate the price of tickets clearly and transparently to consumers. To illustrate this, Air France is launching a promotion advertising a Tempo economy class flight to Paris for $850, taxes and surcharge included, instead of $465 as currently permitted by law. This offer applies to Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto departures for Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Nantes, Strasbourg and Toulouse. Seats must be booked between Oct. 8 and 28 for flights scheduled between Oct. 13 and Dec. 10 or between Dec. 24 and May 14, 2009.
