Kauai 2016

Mary Jo McKinnon

Back to Hawaii, this trip Kauai and Honolulu.

Kauai is known as the Garden Island.

From lovely rainforest to dramatic cliffs along the 10-mile-long Waimea Canyon and Na Pali Coast .

For the beach lover, endless beaches along the way. A combination of surf, sand with plenty of sea life to find.

In Kauai you will find a laid back atmosphere that is hard to beat. Easy to drive from north to south. From the airport North to Princeville, 1.5 hours at most. Down to the South from the airport 25 minutes to Poipu.

You will find plenty to do if you like the outdoor life, or perhaps tour the Rum Planation or sample some Kauai Coffee at the Kauai Coffee House.

Kauai is exceptionally clean of litter. The main roads are all nicely paved, and easy to get around. A car is a very good option.

If shopping is your thing, you will find any thing from upscale boutiques, Costco, Ross and plenty of art stores.

I did have a chance to see a few hotels and condos. I loved my stay at Koloa Landing Condo Resort in Poipu. I also saw many of the other resorts in the area. I would be happy to help plan your next vacation.
